Measurement principle

The sample is dosed into the digestion tube, where mercury sulphate, potassium dichromate, and sulphuric acid with a catalyst are added sequentially. Digestion is performed automatically at 175°C. After digestion and cooling, absorbance is measured at 592 nm and 70°C. Following the measurement, the sample is discharged and the system automatically washes the hydraulic parts and the digestion tube with deionised water.
