WIZ Probe

WIZ Probe is the portable and submersible multiparameter probe for automatically measuring up to four chemical compounds in surface and seawater.

Following an extensive four-phase field test as part of the Nutrient Sensor Challenge, in 2017 our company was awarded by the Alliance of Coastal Technologies for the measurement of both nitrate and orthophosphate measurement parameters.

The innovative design allows for easy use in the field by a single user.

The WIZ probe allows, in the standard configuration, trace-level detection of the four main nutrients:

  • Ammonia (N-NH3)
  • orthophosphate (P-PO4)
  • nitrate + nitrite N-(NO3+NO2)
  • nitrite (N-NO2).

The WIZ probe automatically handles spectrophotometric analysis and an advanced fluorometric method for ammonia measurement.

Many other analytical methods are available on request, including analysis of silicates, total phosphorus, total nitrogen, iron, and other metals.

  • to the new 1.5 ml micro-reactor “Loop Flow” (μLFR*), which allows for minimal consumption of reagents and calibrants;
  • to the exclusive multi-wavelength fibre optic colorimetric detector, coupled with a state-of-the-art fluorimeter;
  • to the innovative cylindrical shape that allows its use for water quality monitoring;
  • to the innovative and compact reagent carrier that allows for quick on-site replacement of reagents and calibrating solutions.
  • The results are directly produced in concentration units;
  • All measured values are stored together with the date, time, and optical density of the sample;
  • the same data is.

The WIZ reagent basket

The reagents and calibrators are housed in flexible pouches within the compact reagent basket. The pouches are connected to the internal analytical reactor via an enhanced version of our fast 10-line multi-connector, ensuring rapid replacement in the field. Reagent consumption is limited to approximately 30–60 microlitres of each reagent per analysis; the reagent basket is designed to hold up to 500 ml of reagents and calibration solutions. Self-calibration is carried out using concentrated standard solutions contained within the same reagent pouch. * Patented
