Routine laboratory analyzers

Our routine laboratory analyzers are used when the laboratory has the need to measure a lot of water samples in short time.

Our product range covers most of the needs for automatic and reliable routine analysis of inorganic compounds in water and water extracts, like Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrite, Orthophosphate, Silicates, Total Nitrogen, Total Phosphorus, Total Dissolved Iron, Chromium, Aluminium, Manganese, Copper, Nickel, Zinc, Alkalinity, Hardness, Sulphate, Residual Chlorine, Chloride, Calcium, Magnesium and Boron and specific organic compounds like Cyanide, Phenols, Urea and TOC.

WIZ probe

Water in-situ analyzer

WIZ probe is the state of the art portable “in-situ” probe, to measure automatically up to four chemical compounds in surface and sea water.

The innovative design allows an easy handling and field deployment by a single user.

WIZ probe allows, in the standard configuration, the detection at trace levels of the main four nutrients compounds:

  • ammonia (N-NH3)
  • orthophosphate (P-PO4)
  • nitrate + nitrite N-(NO3+NO2)
  • nitrite (N-NO2).

WIZ probe automatically manages the well known spectrophotometric wet chemistries and an advanced fluorimetric method for ammonia measurement.

Many other analytical methods are available on request, including silicates, Total P, Total N, iron and other metals.

WIZ Pro is the most advanced analytical probe for field applications:

  • the 1.5 ml micro Loop Flow Reactor (μLFR*) enables an extremely low consumption of reagents and calibrants
  • the exclusive multibeam compact, optic fibers based, colorimetric detector, coupled with a state of the art fluorimeter
  • the new compact cylindrical design allows the deployment as any conventional water quality monitoring probes available in the market
  • the new innovative “plug-in” and compact reagents container allows an immediate field reagents and calibration solutions changeover.

Results are directly provided in concentration units; all measured values are stored with date, time and sample O.D.; the same data are remotely available through a serial communication port, which allows the complete probe configuration and remote control using the external Windows® based Wiz Control Panel software.

The Wiz reagents container:

Reagents and calibrants flexible bags are placed inside the “plug-in” compact reagents container.

The bags are connected to the internal analytical reactor with an enhanced version of our exclusive fast hydraulic 10 lines multiconnector*, ensuring quick replacement in the field.

Reagents consumption is limited to about 30-60 microliters of each reagent per single analysis; the reagents container is designed to contain up to 500 ml of reagents and calibrant solution, to ensure at least 1000 automatic field analysis.

Auto-calibration is performed using concentrated standard solutions, contained in the same reagents container.

In-situ Probes

SYSTEA proposes a series of submergible multiparametric in-situ probes for sequential automatic analysis of up to four nutrients or other chemical parameters in surface and sea water.

Our probes are specifically designed for unattended monitoring in oceanographic research, environmental protection and biological studies; the following models are available:

The standard wet chemistries for nutrients analysis used in our in-situ probes are optimized to be used for unattended water quality monitoring in surface and sea water: NH3: fluorimetric OPA method PO4: Molibdate, Ascorbic acid colorimetric method NO3+NO2: UV reduction + NED, SAA colorimetric method NO2: NED, SAA colorimetric method.

Other chemical parameters available are: Silicates Total Phosphorous Total Nitrogen Total Dissolved Iron Sulphide.

NPA Pro

Nutrients probe analyzer 

NPA Pro is submergible multiparametric in-situ probe for sequential automatic analysis of up to four nutrients or other chemical parameters in surface and sea water, based on μLFR* technology. The standard wet chemistries for nutrients analysis used in NPA Pro are the ones recommended by international standard:

  • NH3: Berthelot reaction
  • PO4: Molibdate, Ascorbic acid
  • NO3+NO2: Cd reduction NED, SAA
  • NO2: NED, SAA.

New innovative chemistries are also available to make easier the management of the on site operations:

  • NH3: fluorimetric OPA method
  • NO3+NO2: UV photoreduction method exclusively licensed to Systea by Ifremer (French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea).

Other chemical parameters available are:

  • total phosphorous
  • total nitrogen (UV Reduction)
  • total dissolved iron
  • silicates 
  • sulphide.
 

The NPA Pro has been designed to be best integrated in coastal buoys. The two cylinders can be easily placed on the buoy’s body holes and then simply anchored with chains or hooks or snaphooks.It is made of two different PVC cylinders: 

  • the first one includes hydraulic and electronics components;
  • the second one includes reagents, calibrant, DI water and waste bag.

A single hydraulic connector with 10 tubing is used to connect the second cylinder to the first one. This multi-connector is provided with a valve to open it during functioning and to close it during transportation, to avoid reagent spillage.

Advanteges and benefits

  • Two cylinders are more convenient/easy to deploy: the electronic compartment is never removed;
  • The NPA Pro doesn't unbalances the buoy: the single body, if placed externally, can tilt the whole system that needs redistribution of buoyancy;
  • If needed, the Cd column, may be placed just above the electronic compartment;
  • The reagent compartment may be changed as a whole; its allowance is around 17 litres;
  • Long lasting reagents quantity, expected reagent changeover every 45/60 days.

DPA Pro

DPA (Deep-sea Probe Analyzer) is the state of the art “in-situ” probe analyzer, which can measure automatically up to four chemical compounds in surface and sea water, based on μLFR* technology.

This innovative “Pro” design allows an easy installation in coastal buoys or floating platforms.

DPA Pro allows as standard to detect at trace concentration levels the main four nutrients compounds:

  • ammonia (NH3-N)
  • orthophosphate (PO4-P)
  • nitrate + nitrite (NO3+NO2)-N
  • nitrite (NO2-N).  

The DPA Pro probe automatically manages well-proved and used in most all the laboratories worldwide spectrophotometric wet chemistries and an advanced fluorimetric method for ammonia measurement.

Many other analytical methods are available on request, including silicates, iron and other metals.

 

DPA Pro is an advanced analytical probe due to:

  • the 5 ml micro Loop Flow Reactor (microLFR) enabling a very low consumption of reagents and calibrants;
  • the exclusive multibeam compact, optic fibers based, colorimetric detector, coupled with a state of the art fluorimeter;
  • the new compact design layout, which allow an easy integration in coastal buoys and floating water monitoring platforms;
  • the reliable external reagents canister, which allows an easy field substitution of reagents and calibration solutions. 

Results are directly provided in concentration units; all measured values are stored with date, time and sample O.D.; the same data are remotely available through a serial communication port, which allows the complete probe configuration and remote control using the external Windows® based NPA-DPA control panel software.
